Binigaus beach

South coast, near Santo Tomas

Binigaus beach

Binigaus beach is very beautiful and has the advantage of being a very short walk from the main family beach at Santo Tomas. In the main it is not very wide, so if you’re bashful about taking it all off while people wander past in close proximity, then keep on walking until the beach broadens out a bit. The westernmost end of the beach, under the cliffs, is prone to getting washed away and this can restrict the space available but, at more than 1km in length overall, there’s plenty of room for all

Facilities  Several cafes, bars and restaurants in the resort itself
Car park  There is a large car park near the beach cafe and others in the resort
Best time to go  Any time
How to get there  The resort of Santo Tomas is well signposted from Menorca’s main east-west highway. On arrival in the resort you will come across a small roundabout; on the right is a beach café, where you can park if you make use of the café facilities, or you can turn left and head down to the resort car park, which is free, and then walk back. Go down on to the beach at the café end, and walk west for five minutes ‘around the corner’ to the naturist area
