Cala Presili

North coast, near Es Grau

Cala Presili

Cala Presili, like its near neighbour Cala Tortuga, offers a picture-postcard view of the Favaritx lighthouse and very fine sand and bathing. Not surprisingly it is a very popular beach for naturists. It’s part of the Albufera des Grau, and as such is a biosphere reserve, renowned for its beauty and for its wildlife of all varieties. There are no facilities here, just natural beauty – please leave it as you found it. Since 2018 the only access to the beach in the summer months has been by bus from Mahon.

How to get there From June to the end of September, the only way to reach Cala Presili and Cala Tortuga is by shuttle bus from Mahon bus station. Buses depart between 0945 and 1830 and you can buy tickets online here

In April, May and October it’s possible to drive: Follow the PM-710 Mahon-Addaya road, turning off towards the coast at the signs for the Favaritx lighthouse. Follow the road until you reach a fork, and here turn right through a gate. About 200m before the lighthouse there is a roped-off parking area to the left. You will find signs a little further on, on the right, giving directions along the Cami de Cavalls to Presili and Tortuga; Presili is around a one-kilometre walk
